Can you beat the Braves in a footie game?

Posted June 14, 2018 11:13:00The Braves have been beaten by the Brumbies, but the game of footie is still afoot.BRIEFS, who are currently third in the standings, are coming off a thrilling win over the Brabants in Sydney on Saturday night.

The Brumbie side lost only once in their last six matches, but they managed to keep the home side at bay.

A game in front of a sell-out crowd of 17,835 at Suncorp Stadium in Sydney was a high point for the visitors, who had to endure a tense start to the second half.

They were not able to score a try until the 22nd minute after an injury-time penalty gave the Brabbies a 15-12 lead.

“It’s always the last game of the year and I was delighted to get the win,” captain Dylan Hartley said.

“I think we’re a bit tired after the two-week break and we need to come back a bit more.”

The Brabies will be hoping to continue their success in Perth and have an opportunity to seal the win over their bitter rivals in the final match of the round.

They will be looking to add to their two-point cushion with a win over a team who are also battling to keep their spot in the top four.

BriEFS is currently third on the all-time wins list with 30 victories from 20 matches.

The last time the Brabo squad won in Perth was in 2002, when they won 24-13 over the Dragons.

The match was also streamed live on the BrumLive website.
